Custom RCE Tarmac 2 Rear Adjusters

Came across a nice post today over on IWSTI. It seems that forum member BoostJunkie has come up with a unique method of creating rear adjusters for RCE Tarmac 2 coilovers. I happen to have a set of these coilovers on my STi, and have been looking for a easy solution to adjust the rears for quite some time.

I say easy because of the following issue: The rebound adjustment of the coilover is on the top portion of the strut. On a Subaru GD chassis, the strut positioning is directly behind the rear seats. Therefore, in order to to perform any adjustment, one must remove the rear seat. As you can imagine, this can be quite a hassle overtime, especially if you adjust your suspension often. (I certainly do, autocrossing every if not every other weekend during the summer)

BoostJunkie took a T handle hex wrench, cut off the top “T” section, and then fitted the top end with a knob for adjustment. He also recommended to add a small bit of loctite into the top adjustment hole, allowing the adjuster to stay firmly in place. This was done for both sides of the car. (rear only) Overall, this seems like a great modification, and I definitely plan to follow his guide and come up with a set of my own.
